Sea Salt, Olive Oil & Honey Ice Cream (Unexpectedly Divine)(Creamy. Salty. Sweet. And made with clean pantry staples.)
This ice cream is proof that simple ingredients can be wildly luxurious. Think: silky olive oil, floral honey, and just the right hit of sea salt. It’s sweet and savory in the best way—and a total sleeper hit whenever I serve it.

I use my KitchenAid Ice Cream Maker Attachment paired with my go-to KitchenAid Stand Mixer to churn this at home. It’s one of those tools that’s paid for itself in joy (and scoops) many times over.

½ cup high-quality olive oil (fruity and peppery works best)
½ cup raw or local honey
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ tsp flaky sea salt (plus more for topping)
Instructions:
Warm + blend:Gently heat milk and honey in a saucepan over low heat until fully combined (don’t boil). Remove from heat.
Mix base:Whisk in the olive oil, cream, vanilla, and salt until silky and emulsified.
Chill:Let the base cool, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
Churn:Pour into your KitchenAid Ice Cream Maker Attachment and churn for 20–25 minutes until it thickens like soft serve.
Freeze:Transfer to a loaf pan or airtight container. Sprinkle with a pinch of flaky salt and freeze for 2–4 hours to firm up.
Serve:Scoop generously. Drizzle with olive oil or a touch more honey if you’re feeling fancy.
